After completing his postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2011, Dr Michael Wheeler undertook his residency at Logan Hospital over three years, where he gained experience across a number of fields.

Michael has had a passion for General Practice from a young age, which he has carried with him throughout his career. He completed his GP training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. He worked in Brisbane before relocating to Sydney in November 2024.

Michael is passionate about providing high-quality, personalised care that reflects current treatment guidelines. He enjoys the variety of presentations encountered in General Practice and values building strong therapeutic relationships with his patients. He places great importance on creating a non-judgemental, safe environment for all.

His special interests include preventative medicine and health screening, men’s health, mental health, and paediatrics.

Outside of General Practice, Michael is a keen traveller and is always planning his next trip. He is a proud parent of two miniature dachshunds, enjoys spending time at the beach, going to the gym, and working on improving his tennis game.
